About Perfect Turf™

No problem, Perfect Turf® is made to withstand ALL the elements.
The turf typically drains at 30-40 gallons per minute per square yard.
Order samples of the ones that interest you on our site. Put them through a torture test, Perfect Turf® is tough!

Yes, Perfect Turf® comes with an industry standard 8-year warranty (5-year on putting green turfs). The warranty covers fiber degradation, uneven fading and workmanship. In addition, most installers will warranty their installation for 1 or 2 years.  Perfect Turf® is expected to last at least 15 years under normal conditions.

Most research on the safety of synthetic turf is positive. The University of Pennsylvania produced excellent research that dispelled the myth about synthetic turf harboring bacteria. Animals will not eat it, bugs won’t live in it, and it helps save the environment. The biggest negative can be how hot it gets in the sunshine on a hot day. This can be addressed in several ways, call us for details.

Perfect Turf® comes with an 8-year warranty against uneven fading. There are coatings to protect against fading and other sprays to revitalize turf after many years of use.

Perfect Turf® needs very little maintenance. In the fall, use a rake or blower to clean up leaves. To remove animal feces, you just scoop it up and in the rare occasion it leaves a mess, just wash the area with a garden hose.

Perfect Turf® is a great solution for:

  • Golf putting greens (outdoor & indoor) and driving range tee lines
  • Dog runs, three-season rooms, and other indoor uses
  • Low-maintenance lawns and pool surrounds for homeowners
  • Patios, roof tops and balconies

If you do it yourself expect to pay about $5-7/sf for total materials
and haul-away costs plus providing all your own install labor.
If you hire out, expect to pay $8-12/sf total depending on the
difficulty of the install and the size of the job. Compared to other products available, how does your product stand up in a side by side comparison of quality?

For Landscaping we need to know:
1. Approximately, how big of an area are you looking to cover with Perfect Turf®?
2. What is currently on the ground there?
3. What kind of access to the area is there? (ie: "next to drive way" vs. "100 yards away, down hill, with a fence in the middle")
4. Do you plan to do any of the work yourself or want an installer for the whole process?

Dog Run specific questions:
1. How many dogs, what are their sexes and what are their size?

Turf choices range from a non-infilled (actually "less infilled" is more
accurate) turf like our Perfect Turf®-Agility 69 to a traditional
rubber-infilled sports turf like our Perfect Turf®-SportsTurf 40. In addition, many
fields are being done in a shorter 1.25 - 1.75 monofilament  which would

Purchasing through a dealer

You have touched on one of the main differences between being a dealer for a company and being an independent installer. Most companies will require their dealers to purchase all their turf from them - regardless of price! We do not. If you become a Perfect Turf dealer all we ask is for the opportunity to meet or beat the price for the product you are considering purchasing from another source. That means we do not frown on you accepting calls and samples from companies trying to sell you turf.

Shipping Information

90% of our orders are filled within 1 business day.  Any time your order cannot be shipped within 1-2 business days, you will be personally contacted by a Perfect Turf representative to notify you and explain your options.

Shipping rates vary based mostly on size of the roll(s) of carpet to be delivered.
There is also a $75 residential delivery fee.  To avoid this charge being added to your shipping costs, have the turf delivered to a commercial business address (no home-based businesses qualify) or pick-up the turf at the local terminal.  At this web site you will always see your shipping charges before you have to commit to purchase.

Installation Information

Absolutely!  Contact us to discuss your project and your needs.
We have different systems for balconies, decks and rooftops depending on a number of factors that we would be happy to discuss with you at your convenience.

For standard installations one would remove the existing sod and put down 2-4" of crushed rock base (similar to the prep for brick patios, sidewalks and driveways).
Different applications require different base construction, please contact us for information on your specific needs.

About Dog Runs and using Perfect Turf™ with animals

Depending on the size and details of installation, synthetic turf dog runs costs

between $4 to $7 per sq. foot plus installation. We can install it for you; you can hire a landscaper, or even do it yourself.

Yes, synthetic turf is a method of landscaping that is approved by all village ordinances. It is also considered a "green" product that can help reduce air pollution and save fresh water while it helps you save money and eliminate the time spent on lawn maintenance!

Typical dog runs can be installed in one day and carry an eight-year manufacturer's warranty. We expect the product to last 10-15 years.

You will need to occasionally hose down the turf, especially in periods with no rain, and use standard pet safe odor removers as needed.

Perfect Turf is extremely durable and most dogs will give up after an unsuccessful dig. Another solution is to place patio bricks on top of the turf in the problem areas.

Yes, we recommend installation by a landscaper or synthetic turf installer, but many homeowners install it themselves. Perfect Turf can be laid over any porous surface that will allow drainage.

We recommend 2"-4" of crushed stone for drainage. If necessary, Perfect Turf can be installed over dirt and a weed barrier, but one should know the downsides of doing it this way.

About using Perfect Turf™ for Golf

For nylon putting greens, you can install it during the day and be putting on it that night. It will roll at about a 10 on the Stimpmeter and will stay at that speed for it's useful life. For polypropylene putting greens, speeds can be made from 8 to 12 on the stimpmeter.

Extremely realistic. Perfect Turf® putting greens can be made to match a specific speed or putt faster or slower. Perfect Turf® putting greens can be designed to hold a shot from 50 yards or 150 yards – whatever your needs, we can design and build a Perfect Turf® putting green to match it.

Depending on the size and details of installation, turf costs between $3 to $7 per sq. foot plus installation. We can install it for you; you can hire a landscaper, or even do it yourself.

Perfect Turf for Exhibits & Shows

We have a new Paintball turf that is designed for this exact
application! It is a really short, easy to clean, durable twisted
polypropylene blade. Order a sample and let us know what you think of
it!

Securing the turf to the tradeshow floor is never easy. Depending on what the existing flooring is, you can use double-stick flashing tape (Home Depot, Lowe's), heavy objects, you can use carpet threshold edging. There are several options given the sub-base.

Feel free to contact us with any questions or if you prefer to order over the phone.
